After using Les Paynes for over 20years, my 80 year old mother and father ordered 11 rolls of wallpaper from the new people who are now renting the shop. They were told they would have to pay £10 per box delivery which came to £20 as there are only 9 rolls in a box, however when shopping in xxxxx the same paper is only £10 per roll and no delivery charge even though the amount needed had to be ordered. Having the decency to phone Les Paynes shop to cancel and explain why my mother was spoken to abruptly and rudely and told that they didn't need customers like her before hanging up on her. Not only where they disrespectful but did not give my mother chance to explain that she just wanted to save £75, and that my father was even offering to pay the delivery so the shop owner was not out of pocket. So if you like to be abused and pushed into a sale whilst looking for paper go to Les Paynes, it was never like this when the namesake had it, the shop was homely and a pleasure to look round, them days are gone now.
