bought car from tones 24th June 2020 had faults was told would be fixed on collection of the car 26th June 2020 faults had not been fixed car was booked in 3rd July 2020 was told to leave to be fixed asked for courtesy car as had no transport was told i could not have one so i could not leave the car re booked 6th July 2020. went to tones 6th July 2020 mechanic came out to listen to the car whining noise from air con pump said there was nothing wrong with the car but i had 2 mechanics look at the car and they were from different garages came to the same fault air con pump i told mechanic this and he replied with he dosent care so i spoke to the manager he said the car would be looked at and give me a courtesy car get a call from tones 7th July saying the car was ready went to collect and asked what was done got told brake drums had been changed as a good will gesture and same again there is nothing wrong with the car no whining but the whining is still there and the belts and pump had not been touched this is very poor after sales when the problems were there before i got the car and not willing to correct the faults even with a 3 month warranty i will never buy a car from this dealer again and have to take this further to get resolved 07-07-20

Www.Tonescars.co.uk is the new website as the tonesrenault.co.uk has been retired .The www.Renault.co.uk web site reflects this.Tones garage is a service provider for Renault and Dacia cars and light vans.All current motability customers are still served at this garage and any Renault Dacia new car buyers can enjoy the services of a local service agent and MOT centre.
Tones keep a good selection of nearly new cars and pre registered cars of all makes.possibly the oldest car company in Hartlepool and very proud of the quality of service that they provide 08-09-14

This states that Tones deal with Motability, but I called in yesterday (28-02-2014) and I was informed they do not do Motability cars. They then informed me if I managed to get one from somewhere else, then they would do service and repairs. This puzzled me, as I cannot see a non Motability garage being allowed to work on their cars. I was not even informed where any other Renault garages where to look at cars. 01-03-14

bought a used car 7 months ago on finance with a 1 year warranty . I had to take it back 2 month later because the clutch was ''wobbling'' from side to side, they fixed it. the car broke down today & the clutch has gone completely ( they claim). they claim that it will cost me 388 pound to get it fixed & the warranty does not cover wear & tear. I HAVE NOT HAD IT LONG ENOUGH TO CAUSE any WEAR & TEAR. they were unhelpful & abrupt. be aware if you buy a used car off these people & something goes wrong they will not help 11-07-13
